On the statistics published by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) on Tuesday, it showed that the Southern Taiwan Science Park revenue has increased dramatically in 2016.

More high-tech companies are now moving to the Science Park for manufacturing purposes.

According to Taiwan News, the Southern Taiwan Science Park's revenue has increased to 16 percent year-on-year, reaching NT$829.6 billion (US$27.28 billion).

The Central Taiwan Science Park has also increased at around 3.1 percent which is valued at NT$507.4 billion.

The Hsinchu Science Park in northern Taiwan has seen its second annual decline at around 5.61 percent to a tune of NT$1.36 trillion.

Chyou-Huey Chiou, director of the Department of Academia-Industry Collaboration and Science Park Affairs said that the disparity in the science park performance is caused by the peak development of the Hsinchu Science Park.

Right now the advance semiconductor processing technology companies are being relocated to central and southern Taiwan.
