The 1st Tokyo Branch Of Umami Burger Will Soon Open

The very popular California hamburger restaurant chain Umami Burger will launch its first ever overseas store in Tokyo on Friday. The branch will be located at the Portofino building in Kita-Aoyama.

The burger chain was founded by Adam Fleischman in Los Angeles back in 2009 and it serves customers amazing gourmet hamburgers found nowhere else.

The Japanese word “umami” translates to “savory” and is also known as the fifth taste. Fans of the restaurant in Japan have been waiting a long time for a Tokyo branch to open.

There are at least 24 restaurants operating in the United States and the Tokyo restaurant will serve the signature Umami Burger which is priced at (1,380 yen) as reported in Japan Today.

The famous burger has roasted tomatoes, caramelized onions, shiitake mushrooms, umami ketchup and Parmesan crisp.

Side dishes of the store include tempura onion rings, Guava short rib sliders, truffle fries, cheesy tots, sweet potato fries, truffled beets and Umami Caesar.
